Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium Success

We just wanted to say a quick thanks to the organizers of the Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium, which was held yesterday, January 19, 2011, at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa, CA. There was a sizable crowd in attendance and we enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with many of our clients and friends in the wine industry. Highlights included Lisa Mattson’s (Jordan Winery) presentation on using video to improve social media campaigns, the direct shipping update from Steve Gross of the Wine Institute, and the many references to the importance of hand-written notes in building consumer loyalty. As social media and Internet marketing become more important in alcoholic beverage marketing, it was refreshing to be reminded that customers still appreciate the personal touch of an old-school note. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
